There are a number of methods to measure of chemicals in the lab. The choice of method depends on a number of factors, including:

• The form the compound takes (solid, liquid, gas)

• The hazards of the compound (e.g. toxicity)

• The volatility of the compound

• The amount required

• The accuracy required
