Data Analysis & Reporting

Analysis and Reporting Overview

It is important that after you have left the lab you know what to do with the data that you have collected. There will often be post-lab processing necessary for you to understand what the data is telling you. This must then be communicated to others through a variety of methods, including written reports and presentations. The following pages provide an overview of relevant skills, including the use of appropriate software packages where necessary.

For information on obtaining instrument data from the teaching labs server prior to processing, please see Accessing Instrument Data.
