Sample has not been fully dried and contains a large broad v shaped water peak at ~3300cm-1
The spectrum is somewhat noisy this is due to the fact the probe was not fully clamped down or there wasn't enough sample on the diamond. Students should contact a technician to fix probe height
The “inverted” spectrum has been caused by the fact that IPA was left on the diamond while the background scan was running causing it to appear in the final spectrum
This complete noise spectra is caused by the fact sample was placed on the diamond before the background scan was run meaning that it has been completely cancelled out
The spectra on the left is an example of a good spectra where there is little noise, no inversion of peaks, a good Transmittance range is covered (i.e not a small percentage range) and there is no contamination from water
